Extreme

Extreme

Role: Art Direction
Goal: Help a cloud-driven networking company find its “human side”.
Duration: 6 weeks

During the concepting phase, we narrowed our focus to three main ideas: an optimistic vision of the future, a call to break free of one’s own limitations, and an ode to the beauty and complexity of nature. We refined each idea and created a single “billboard” as proof-of-concept of our ideas.
The client wanted to explore the first idea with an emphasis on the “human element”. Our solution was to juxtapose fanciful copy with in-the-moment images of real human emotion. The challenge was finding the perfect pictures to compliment our great copy.
The copy and imagery came together in the form of social tiles able to sum up the concept in a single frame. The result was clever, poignant, and beautiful to look at. The client loved them so much they were also featured in electronic booth displays at a nationwide conference.
Eventually, our concept was used to promote a new suite of products known as “Extreme Elements”. The campaign consisted of a series of demand gen emails, gated landing pages, and animated display ads.
The project was a success, garnering an impressive 5% click-through rate on emails and a 27% increase in goal completions versus previous landing pages in the same quarter. The campaign also shaped the look and feel of future product releases.
